This document walks through how to add a vLAN ID to a Polycom desk phone manually.

Setting a phone to a manual vLAN ID is a configuration that should be consulted with the network system administrator before applying to a phone.  In some cases it is needed to get the phone onto the correct subnet and retrieve its phone configuration file.

Steps

Start by pressing the Home key to get into the menu

Next, navigate to Settings

Navigate to Advanced

You will be prompted for the admin password (Poly default is 456), your password may be different than default. If you need this password please contact your system administrator or TotalCX Support.

Go to Administration Settings

Select Network Configuration

Go down to Ethernet

Go down to VLAN Menu

Edit the VLAN ID field with your network's vLAN ID (it varies), and select Ok

Once saved, press the Home button or Back, you will select Save Config

Once saved the phone will reboot with the new setting(s)
