In some cases you may find yourself needing to announce to a caller that if they do not want to leave a message they can press a key to exit the voicemail box and try to talk to an operator or another destination.
How it works
The phone system has a feature in the voicemail settings of any user, it is called Operator Forward. When this option is configured any caller can press 0 during the voicemail greeting to be directed to a configured destination.
Configuration
Log into your own user portal at http://callrevu.tel/portal and follow these steps:
- Click on the Messages menu
- Click on the Settings tab
- Enter the destination extension or name of your desired destination in the Operator Forward field and make sure to click the auto-fill destination drop-down
- Click Save
This is all that is needed to complete this configuration. Now you can set up the voicemail greeting to announce to callers that they can press 0 in the mailbox to exit to the configured destination.
