When updating users in the phone system, their names will not update instantaneously on your phone's directory.
This document explains how to, first of all, add the directory and then how to update your directory for the latest names/extensions on the phone system. The process of refreshing a phone's directory also happens if the phone reboots and also overnight the phone will update itself.
The caller ID signaling can also be set to prefer network signaling (SIP info) instead of the directory. You can review that setup in this article.
Enabling the Directory
In order for a desk phone to have a directory enabled, it must have an Easy Keys profile.
1. Simply navigate to the Phones tab
2. Click the gear of the phone you're wanting to add the directory to
3. Click Save and Resync
NOTE: Optionally, you could create an Easy Keys template and apply it to a range of phones.
Refreshing the Directory

1. Navigate to the Menu
2. Navigate to the Directory, press Enter
3. Navigate to Remote Phone Book, press Enter
With Company Directory highlighted, press Update

Reboot the phone.
