Some users may want to have a phone number that will provide Direct Inward Dialing (DID). This allows external callers to call an extension directly from an external number.
Configuration
In the admin portal,
- Navigate to the Inventory tab
- Click on the Phone Number you want to assign
- In the pop-up window select User from the Treatment drop-down
- Type the user's name or extension into the User field
- Click Save
To make this DID the user's outbound caller ID:
- Navigate to Users
- Search for and click on the user
- Drop-down the Caller ID field to the assigned DID
- Click Save
