You may need to review the process to add configurations to a device in this article before proceeding.
Using the configuration below, a Yealink phone can have a single key to press to download a new configuration file from the server.
features.enhanced_dss_keys.enable="1" edk.edklist.1.enable="1" edk.edklist.1.mname="edk1" edk.edklist.1.action="$Imenu_list$$Ibasic_setting_list$$KDialPad1$$KDialPad2$$KOK$$Sback$$Sback$" edk.id_mode.enable="1" linekey.5.value="!edk1" linekey.5.type="73" linekey.5.label="Update Cfg"
This configuration uses the Yealink EDK macros to navigate to the Menu > Basic Settings > Dial 12 > Press OK > Go back twice.
You may need to modify the line key where the button will be present, this example puts the button on line key 5.
If this configuration does not work you may need to review the steps to get to the basic settings and which position the provisioning command is in. Some phones and some firmwares might put the provisioning command in a different position than 12:
Caveats
This command currently only works on non-touchscreen phones, for those using the T57W, T77U, T87W, any of the android-based devices, or any conference phones, this command will have unintended configurations applied to the phones if the user runs the macro.
If the macro is running too fast you may need to add a pause. To do so, simply add $Cpause1$ to the macro at any point where you feel like it is necessary, this will pause the macro and let the GUI catch up before proceeding to the next part of the macro.
